The picnic will be held in Shelter
- Oak Point #2.
There is shelter, in case
of rain, and trees.
The 2,793 acre state park and adjoining
3,230 acre conservation area are located in the northeastern corner
of Illinois in both McHenry and Lake counties. The park is 60 miles
northwest of Chicago, 20 miles west of Lake Michigan and only 4 miles
south of the Illinois/Wisconsin border. With nearly 6,500 acres of
water and 488 miles of shoreline on the chain, Chain O Lakes State
Park is the heart of water wonderland.

Grill, drinks, eating utensils will be
provided.
Bring a dish to share for a Pot Luck lunch.
A volleyball net will be setup – bring your volleyball !
Brown Bag Raffle to be held.
Please bring any items you wish to donate.

The
shelter is off of Rt. 173 (please note: not the same shelter
we had there last time!) Where is says Oak Point Day Use Area
on the map is where
the
shelter is.. it has electricity. (shade too) -
large parking lot.
Chicago - North on I-94
to Rt. 173 exit; west Rt. 173
Wisconsin - South I-94 to Rt. 41; Rt. 41
south to Rt. 173 west
