Back by popular demand, Barbara and Roger Frey will join us to present a two day water seminar.   This seminar is intended for all levels of knowledge and training and is broken into two day- long sessions. The first day will be geared for beginners and those working on junior level exercises. The second day will build on skills learned the previous day, focus on senior level exercises, and feature individualized problem solving for all levels.

Saturday – Day I:  No previous training is required.  This session will focus on the basics of getting you and your dog in the water and will teach the basic skills for water training:  basic control, retrieving, carrying, and pulling. At the end of the day you will learn the fun of water work and have the skills necessary to train your dog for the junior water exercises.

Sunday – Day II:  This session is a building block on skills learned in day one.  Senior water exercises will be explained and demonstrated.   The focus will be on improving current training techniques and learning and practicing junior and senior dog exercises. The second half of this day will feature one-on-one individualized problem solving.

Items to bring, all levels:  Water shoes, life jacket, 6’ nylon or cotton leash, lawn chairs, cooler with water and lunch.  Dog treats. Water equipment, if you have it: bumper, boat cushion, life vest,8’ line. Shade is limited: a tent will be provided; car shades/pop-up tents are recommended.

***A pot luck dinner by NCNC is planned shortly after the end of Saturday session.***
Motor homes and trailers are welcome.  No hook-ups or power are provided.

Participation limited to 30 dog/handler teams each day.  Fee: $35 for both days, $5 per day spectator.
